Steve Jobs and his fascination for the 'Eye'

Steve Jobs will always be remembered as a revolutionary in the world of technology.
There is a small observation that I made, that I would like to share.

Steve had a great fascination for the human eye, the organ that serves as a window to the world..

Most of his creations start with the letter "i" (be it the ipod, iphone, ipad,  and even iOS) which phonetically sounds the same as Eye.
The images in the human eye are projected and formed in the layer called Retina, the name he gave to the most beautiful display of his latest iphones n ipod touches. Moreover he ensured that the pixel density of his new display named Retina exceeded the perceptible pixel density of the human retina. This ensured sharp clear unpixelated display on the devices.
Now what struck me is...
What controls the amount of light entering the human eye? What controls the amount of visual information from the world that gets projected onto the retina? What basically acts as an interface between the world of information and the retina?
It is the Iris, the one that controls it all..
Well, Iris spelt backwards is Siri.
R.I.P. Steve
